Gone but not Forgotten

Cemetery walking tours give fascinating insight into the people and society that have gone before.  This tour will explore the history of the Redcliffe cemetery. We will visit the final resting place of some of our early settlers and learn of their trials and tribulations.  Tragic tales of suicide and accidental death will be uncovered and the graves of people who have been long forgotten will be revealed.

Visitors will be guided through the monumental area of the cemetery where they will view a variety of headstones and in some cases, no grave markers at all.  They will learn about the history of its establishment and the people who made it possible and will hear stories about the lives of people who now rest here. 
There will be time for questions and morning tea will be provided following the tour.
