National Trust of Australia (Queensland) has partnered with Ipswich Plant Swap to showcase the beauty and significance of the heritage listed Wolston Farmhouse whilst promoting the shared vision of creating a thriving community hub that includes:
- Community garden
- Plant swap location
- Educational centre
- Conference facilities
- Meeting place for like-minded community groups
Your ticket includes
- Farmhouse Tea and Tour
- Plant Swap hosted by Ipswich Plant Swap
- Access to plant stalls from local growers and gardening clubs
- Guest speakers and workshops
- Live music
Our expert guest speakers will host the following included workshops
- Heather Knowles (Native Plants Queensland) - Native Plant ID, Propagation and Growing
- Darren Close (Bremer Catchment Associaction) - Mushroom Growing and Living Soil
- Cameron Lund (Founder Ipswich Plant Swap) - Composting and Worm Farming
- James Lund (Green Bound) Mindful Consumption in the garden
- Jill Fechner (Reptile Rehabilitation Queensland) - Reptiles in the garden
All money raised through ticket sales will go back into Wolston Farmhouse with the goal of establishing a community garden and other projects relating to the upkeep of the Heritage Listed Farmhouse.
